![]() This project consists of IR transmitter and Receiver circuit, Control Unit, Pneumatic bumper system and pneumatic braking system. The aim is to design and develop a control system based intelligent electronically controlled automotive bumper activation and automatic braking system is called AUTOMATIC PNEUMATIC BUMPER AND BREAK ACTUATION BEFORE COLLISION. ![]() The technology of pneumatics plays a major role in the field of automation and modern machine shops and space robots. We hope that this proposed design will increase the efficacy of lapping process when compared with previously used manual lapping method. A pneumatic source was chosen based on the availability to actuate the oscillating mechanism. In-order to build an automatic lapping system, an oscillating mechanism was designed to limit the rotation of the Flapper Valve over the Ram cylinder cover to an angle stated by the end user. This automatic lapping system was designed in-order to reduce human work load and to lessen the present time consumption in manual lapping process. ![]() We present here an automatic lapping system which was designed for achieving surface flatness and air tight seal between the Flapper Valve and Ram cylinder cover, that builds up pressure in the clamping unit of an injection moulding machine. Industry 4.0 aims at automation of manufacturing processes in order to facilitate high production rate of good quality products. It is designed to deliver the right amount of lubricant at right time to every point by means of distributors connected by hoses. The centralized automatic lubricating system is used for easy and economical lubrication of multiple points from one centrally located distributor. In above cases, lubricants are not only a time consuming process but also results in workman fatigue. The lubrication of various points of machinery is also a difficult task in industries where more number of machines has been installed and needed lubrication like printing machinery, excavators, textile machinery etc, where the number of points to be lubricated may range from 40 to 50. Periodicity is in terms of machine hours in case of machinery and mileage in case of automobiles. The manufacturers of machinery are recommended to lubricate various points at a periodic interval. ![]() Also lubrication counters corrosion by providing a protective film on the concerned surface. The bearings may wear out easily due to improper lubrication and thus reduce the efficiency of the machine. If machines are not properly lubricated at regular intervals they are seized thus incurring heavy losses. Machines in various industries like textile, printing, machine tools, automobile industries and excavators are to be lubricated in order to reduce the friction created between moving parts. Lubrication is the lifeline for any industry. Any automatic machine aimed at the economical use of man, machine, and material worth the most. According to the work material the operating pressure can be variedĪutomation in the modern world is inevitable. Different types of punch as requirement can be thus got. This enables us to use different type punch dies resulting in a wide range of products. The die used in this is fixed such that the die of required shape can be used according to the requirement. The work piece thus got is for required dimensions and the piece can be collected through the land clearance provided in the die. The pressurized air passing through the tubes to the cylinder, forces the piston out whose power through the linkage is transmitted to the punch. The pneumatic press tool has an advantage of working in low pressure, that is even a pressure of 6 bar is enough for operating the unit. This unit, as we hope that it can be operated easily with semi skilled operators. This convenience in operating the pneumatic system has made us to design and fabricate this unit as our project. This importance is due to its accuracy and cost. The pneumatic system has gained a large amount of importance in last few decades. ![]()
